Gerald C. Rovner practices in his own immigration law firm in Boston, MA. After graduation from Clark Univ., Worcester, MA, he received his J.D. from Rutgers Univ. School of Law (Newark, N.J.), and has been an active member of the legal community ever since. He is a Past Chair of the New England Chapter, has served as the Chair of the National Liaison Committee with the Vermont Service Center, is a past member of AILA’s National Benefit’s Center Liaison Committee and a past member of AILA’s Administrative Appeals Office Liaison Committee. Since 1999, he has been a member of the Massachusetts Governor’s Advisory Council on Immigrants and Refugees. He is a Past Chair of the Legal Fee Arbitration Board of the Mass Bar Assoc., is a Life Fellow of the Mass Bar Foundation, and is the immediate past Chair of the Mass Bar Association Immigration Law Section Council. He was named a 2009 -2012 New England Super Lawyer. He frequently lectures on immigration law for Mass Continuing Legal Education, the Mass and Boston Bar Associations, as well as AILA and civic groups. In 2000, he was awarded the President’s Citation by AILA. He lives in Needham where he is active in community activities.
